Frequently asked questions

Why is the ACC levy on my payslip?

The earners' levy funds accident cover and is collected through PAYE on your behalf, which is why it appears as a separate deduction from gross pay.

How does KiwiSaver change my take-home pay?

Your chosen employee rate is deducted from gross pay, so a higher rate lowers take-home pay while increasing your retirement savings.

Is the employer contribution included in my net pay?

No. Employer KiwiSaver contributions are paid into your KiwiSaver account in addition to your salary and are taxed through ESCT before they reach the fund.
